Burmese Python-Snake of the Month

We are going to eat it for lunch today. The neighbor on the hill found the snake squeezing 3 of his chickens and killed it. After he killed it he called Tanom to come get the dead snake and chickens. Today Len and Gi are skinning, gutting and roasting the big snake. Tanom is doing the chickens.
Poppy and Jasper have been watching the whole thing...great educational opportunity for them. I have been watching, too, until my stomach can't take it anymore and I have to run home. Poppy is the bravest of us all. "I'm going to eat some of that snake!"

Emily and I agree that we couldn't handle watching the snake prep either. I might be willing to eat it though. You life is really an adventure!

Thanks for the comment! The rest of the snake is now chilling in their refrigerator & freezer. Ning, our other co-worker, was complaining it was taking up most of the space in there! (I bet it stinks, too.) They are going to roast more of it today. I still can't bring myself to eat it yet.

Confronting Gee

On her knees, higher-than-head "wai" position with her hands, and bowing her head to the ground. I didn't expect that, but knowing Thai culture, it didn't surprise me too much. She was shocked that I knew she had been stealing all along. She said, "I am so ashamed of myself and embarrassed. Please give me another chance." I had just told her I knew about all the things she had stolen from us. She was sobbing and I tried to console her. I made my words loving and gentle, told her I forgave her already, she can have another chance, & that I'm not mad at her. I told her to tell me truth, if she really believes in Jesus Christ or not, because if she didn't, I wasn't going to think any worse of her. I just need to know the truth. She assured me she really does believe, she gave away her amulets already and reads her Bible every day. She wants to get baptised on Sunday with the other baptisms. So, it was bittersweet.
